ComChart has released v9.3g3 of EMR, its medical records software. The program is designed to reduce the amount of paper used in a clinic or hospital, providing access to patient information such as medications and test results. Users can additionally schedule future appointments and fax or print out prescription requests for pharmacies. The newest version adds specific support for the iPhone when accessing EMR's web interface. Visitors to a site have the option of patient or physician logins, with data in the former being restricted as a facility sees fit. Patients can however schedule appointments and prescription refills, pay any outstanding bills, and send messages to staff.
Pricing for EMR is dependent on the licensing agreement with ComChart.
