TransMedia has added iPhone support to its Glide OS 3.0 platform. Microsoft Word Document support with automatic desktop syncronization is now available, providing 10GB off online document storage. The company says users can "create, share and collaborate" on Word documents with collegues using BlackBerry, Palm Symbian and Windows Mobile phones. The Glide OS also offers a suite of applications, including a photo editor, audio/video chat, presentation, spreadsheet, e-mail, calendar and contact manager applications. The basic service with 10GB of storage is free, with additional storage available in 20GB increments for $5.
MindSHIFT has announced immediate support for the iPhone on its 123Together hosted Microsoft Exchange Servers, providing access to business e-mail, contacts and calendar items with two-way wireless synchronization. The company offers a 30-day free trial of its hosting service, which is available in a variety of plans based on usage and features.
MindSHIFT is has also announced that it will add support for Mac laptops and desktops in the fourth quarter. The company, which describes itself as a provider of "premier IT infrastructure for small and medium-sized organizations" says Apple is starting to "successfully penetrate the corporate environment." Since smaller companies generally have less invested in IT than large firms, they tend to be more willing to adopt new technologies, the company said.
